Palamau is a parliamentary constituency in Jharkhand state comprising of 6 assembly segments Daltonganj,Bishrampur,Chattarpur,Hussainabad,Garhwa,Bhawanathpur. Voters will decide the fate of the candidates contesting in Palamau, which goes to poll on 13th May 2024 and counting of votes will be held on June 4th . Vishnu Dayal Ram from BJP won the parliamentary elections in 2019 with a winning margin of 39.48% . Vishnu Dayal Ram defeated Ghuran Ram from RJD . BJP and RJD polled a vote share of 62.46% and 22.98% respectively. In 2014 Vishnu Dayal Ram belonging to BJP won the elections, while in 2009 ,Palamau constituency choose Kameshwar Baitha from JMM. The voter turnout in 2019 , 2014 and 2009 was 64.34% , 59.38 % and 45.95% repectively.
