Bangalore South is a parliamentary constituency in Karnataka state comprising of 8 assembly segments Govindraj Nagar,Vijay Nagar,Chickpet,Basavanagudi,Padmanaba Nagar,B.T.M.Layout,Jayanagar,Bommanahalli. Voters will decide the fate of the candidates contesting in Bangalore South, which goes to poll on 26th April 2024 and counting of votes will be held on June 4th . Tejasvi Surya from BJP won the parliamentary elections in 2019 with a winning margin of 27.87% . Tejasvi Surya defeated B.K.Hariprasad from INC . BJP and INC polled a vote share of 62.2% and 34.33% respectively. In 2014 Ananth Kumar belonging to BJP won the elections, while in 2009 ,Bangalore South constituency choose Ananth Kumar from BJP. The voter turnout in 2019 , 2014 and 2009 was 53.7% , 55.72 % and 44.74% repectively.
