New Delhi is a parliamentary constituency in Delhi state comprising of 10 assembly segments Karol Bagh,Patel Nagar,Moti Nagar,Delhi Cantt,Rajinder Nagar,New Delhi,Kasturba Nagar,Malviya Nagar,R K Puram,Greater Kailash. Voters will decide the fate of the candidates contesting in New Delhi, which goes to poll on 25th May 2024 and counting of votes will be held on June 4th . Meenakashi Lekhi from BJP won the parliamentary elections in 2019 with a winning margin of 27.86% . Meenakashi Lekhi defeated Ajay Makan from INC . BJP and INC polled a vote share of 54.77% and 26.91% respectively. In 2014 Meenakashi Lekhi belonging to BJP won the elections, while in 2009 ,New Delhi constituency choose Ajay Makan from INC. The voter turnout in 2019 , 2014 and 2009 was 56.91% , 65.08 % and 55.71% repectively.
