Mainpuri is a parliamentary constituency in UttarPradesh state comprising of 5 assembly segments Mainpuri,Kishani (Sc),Karhal,Jaswantnagar,Bhongaon. Voters will decide the fate of the candidates contesting in Mainpuri, which goes to poll on 07th May 2024 and counting of votes will be held on June 4th . Mulayam Singh Yadav from SP won the parliamentary elections in 2019 with a winning margin of 9.67% . Mulayam Singh Yadav defeated Prem Singh Shakya from BJP . SP and BJP polled a vote share of 53.75% and 44.09% respectively. In 2014 T.S.Yadav belonging to SP won the elections, while in 2009 ,Mainpuri constituency choose Mulayam Singh Yadav from SP. The voter turnout in 2019 , 2014 and 2009 was 56.77% , 60.95 % and 49.67% repectively.
