Uttara Kannada is a parliamentary constituency in Karnataka state comprising of 8 assembly segments Khanapur,Kittur,Haliyal,Karwar,Kumta,Bhatkal,Sirsi,Yellapur. Voters will decide the fate of the candidates contesting in Uttara Kannada, which goes to poll on 07th May 2024 and counting of votes will be held on June 4th . Anantkumar Hegde from BJP won the parliamentary elections in 2019 with a winning margin of 41.58% . Anantkumar Hegde defeated Anand Asnotikar from JD(S) . BJP and JD(S) polled a vote share of 68.15% and 26.56% respectively. In 2014 Anantkumar Hegde belonging to BJP won the elections, while in 2009 ,Uttara Kannada constituency choose Anantkumar Hegde from BJP. The voter turnout in 2019 , 2014 and 2009 was 74.16% , 69.01 % and 59.09% repectively.
