Mandya is a parliamentary constituency in Karnataka state comprising of 8 assembly segments Malavalli,Maddur,Melukote,Mandya,Shrirangapattana,Krishnarajapete,Krishnarajanagara,Nagamangala. Voters will decide the fate of the candidates contesting in Mandya, which goes to poll on 26th April 2024 and counting of votes will be held on June 4th . Sumalatha Ambareesh from IND won the parliamentary elections in 2019 with a winning margin of 9.13% . Sumalatha Ambareesh defeated Nikhil Kumaraswamy from JD(S) . IND and JD(S) polled a vote share of 51.02% and 41.89% respectively. In 2014 C.S.Puttaraju belonging to JD(S) won the elections, while in 2009 ,Mandya constituency choose N Cheluvaraya Swamy @ Swamygowda from JD(S). The voter turnout in 2019 , 2014 and 2009 was 80.59% , 71.45 % and 68.79% repectively.
