Chitradurga is a parliamentary constituency in Karnataka state comprising of 8 assembly segments Molakalmuru,Challakere,Pavagada,Chitradurga,Hiriyur,Hosadurga,Holalkere,Sira. Voters will decide the fate of the candidates contesting in Chitradurga, which goes to poll on 26th April 2024 and counting of votes will be held on June 4th . A Narayanaswamy from BJP won the parliamentary elections in 2019 with a winning margin of 6.44% . A Narayanaswamy defeated B N Chandrappa from INC . BJP and INC polled a vote share of 50.26% and 43.82% respectively. In 2014 B.N.Chandrappa belonging to INC won the elections, while in 2009 ,Chitradurga constituency choose Janardhana Swamy from BJP. The voter turnout in 2019 , 2014 and 2009 was 70.8% , 66 % and 54.49% repectively.
