Dharwad is a parliamentary constituency in Karnataka state comprising of 8 assembly segments Navalgund,Kundgol,Dharwad,Hubli-Dharwad Central,Hubli-Dharwad- West,Kalghatgi,Shiggaon,Hubli-Dharwad-East. Voters will decide the fate of the candidates contesting in Dharwad, which goes to poll on 07th May 2024 and counting of votes will be held on June 4th . Pralhad Joshi from BJP won the parliamentary elections in 2019 with a winning margin of 16.9% . Pralhad Joshi defeated Vinay Kulkarni from INC . BJP and INC polled a vote share of 56.43% and 39.54% respectively. In 2014 Pralhad Joshi belonging to BJP won the elections, while in 2009 ,Dharwad constituency choose Pralhad Joshi from BJP. The voter turnout in 2019 , 2014 and 2009 was 70.29% , 65.98 % and 56.55% repectively.
