Chamarajanagar is a parliamentary constituency in Karnataka state comprising of 8 assembly segments Heggadadevankote,Varuna,T.Narasipur,Hanur,Kollegal,Nanjangud,Chamarajanagar,Gundlupet. Voters will decide the fate of the candidates contesting in Chamarajanagar, which goes to poll on 26th April 2024 and counting of votes will be held on June 4th . V. Srinivas Prasad from BJP won the parliamentary elections in 2019 with a winning margin of 0.14% . V. Srinivas Prasad defeated R. Dhruvanarayana from INC . BJP and INC polled a vote share of 44.74% and 44.6% respectively. In 2014 R. Dhruvanarayana belonging to INC won the elections, while in 2009 ,Chamarajanagar constituency choose R.Dhruvanarayana from INC. The voter turnout in 2019 , 2014 and 2009 was 75.35% , 72.83 % and 67.91% repectively.
