Elections for the 294-seated West Bengal Assembly will be held in eight phases from March 27 to April 29. Counting of votes is on May 2. It is a three-cornered fight with Trinamool Congress seeking a third term, Congress and Left front fighting together, and BJP hoping to make its mark in the Eastern state.
