Coronavirus: death toll in China soars to 722

The number of deaths from China’s new coronavirus epidemic jumped to 722 on Saturday, surpassing the toll from the SARS outbreak on the mainland and Hong Kong almost two decades ago. While former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah was booked under the PSA in September 2019, two other former Chief Ministers — Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti — were booked under the stringent law on February 6.
