Seven students faint

Seven students, who observed a fast for the second day on Thursday fainted on Thiruvalluvar ground here. The students, Chandru alias Eelan, Navin Kumar, Surya, Prabakaran, Karthi, Ramesh and Rajkumar, fainted one after another in the afternoon due to dehydration. They were all taken care of at the protest venue itself. They then resumed fast.

They were among more than 1,500 students, who were staging a protest, demanding the Central government to take effective steps to lift ban on jallikattu.
