He loves Mumbai. It’s madness, its colour and its cricket crazy people. “That’s what keeps bringing me back here,” says cricketer Brett Lee flashing his famous grin. Lee, known not only for his bowling prowess on field and his music off it, declares that for him music and cricket are two things that can co-exist. “I give them enough time. Why do I have to wait to retire to pursue one or the other?” asks Lee. For him cricket is a sport that builds ‘character’. “But for me it’s more than a sport. It helps build values like leadership, teamwork, integrity. It’s also a lot of fun.” said he. And though he agrees that his team has taken a drubbing recently, he’s confident that they will be back in top form.
