“There must be a CBI probe. It is not a coincidence that all the accused are dying of one ailment or another. There is something more to it.” - Prashant Pandey, forensic expert and one of the whistle-blowers who exposed the scam

The body of trainee sub-inspector, Anamika Sikarwar (25), was found in the lake adjacent to the Police Training Academy in Sagar district headquarters, City Superintendent of Police (CSP) Gautam Solanki said.

Anamika was married and a resident of Morena district.

She was selected as sub-inspector through an exam conducted by Vyapam.

However, the CSP said that her selection has nothing to do with Vyapam scam and she was not a suspected beneficiary.

The cops have sealed her room in the academy and so far no suicide note has been found. The exact cause will be known after a probe, Solanki said adding initial investigations are on in the case.
