The investigations into the robbery at Muthoot Mini Financiers (P) Limited appears to have reached a conclusion, with the police saying that seven persons have been taken into custody and the stolen jewellery recovered. A seven-member gang was involved in the robbery on September 24, in which jewellery weighing 1,381 sovereigns was reported stolen.

The role of one of the persons detained for interrogation was being ascertained. The rest included a former employee of the finance firm's branch in a nearby district. Tallying of the jewellery stolen was also being done.

A full disclosure of arrest, number of persons involved and recovery of jewellery is expected to be made on Tuesday.
