Bengaluru, Chennai and Kolkata to host Champions League Twenty20

The ten-team Champions League Twenty20 (CLT20) will be played at Bengaluru, Chennai and Kolkata from September 23 to October 9. The inaugural match will be played at Bengaluru, which has also been allotted a semi-final. The second semi-final and final will be played at Chennai.

Seven teams - South Australian Redbacks and NSW Blues (Australia), Warriors and Cape Cobras (South Africa), Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians (India) - have qualified for the main tournament.

The qualifier to determine three more teams will be played at Hyderabad from September 19 to 21. The six teams that will take part in the qualifier are Kolkata Knight Riders (fourth, IPL), Trinidad and Tobago (Champion, West Indies), Auckland Aces (Champion, New Zealand), one team from Sri Lanka and two from England. The top three teams from the qualifier will advance to stage II of the league.
