Afghanistan shocks Pakistan

Afghanistan stunned Pakistan by three wickets in a warm-up game on Friday.

Young middle-order batsman Hashmatullah Shahidi’s unbeaten 74 took Afghanistan home as it chased down a target of 263.

The scores: At Bristol: Pakistan 262 in 47.5 overs (Babar Azam 112, Shoaib Malik 44, Mohd. Nabi three for 46) lost to Afghanistan 263 for seven in 49.4 overs (Hazratullah Zazai 48, Hashmatullah Shahidi 74 n.o., Nabi 34, Wahab Riaz three for 46).

At Cardiff: South Africa 338 for seven in 50 overs (Faf du Plessis 88, Hashim Amla 65, Andile Phehlukwayo 35) bt Sri Lanka 251 in 42.3 overs (Dimuth Karunaratne 87, Angelo Mathews 64, Phehlukwayo four for 36).
