To create awareness about social security Acts, a one-day training programme will be conducted at Sona College of Technology between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on June 6.

A release from the organisers, Salem Productivity Council, said that a person may not escape from the liability for violating a law merely because he or she was unaware of its content. Hence, updating labour related laws and social security Acts such as Employee Provident Fund (EPF), Employees’ Pension Scheme (EPS), Employee State Insurance (ESI) and gratuity was necessary.

The training programme would deal with e-filing and its problems, various forms, digital signature, online payment, recent amendments, claims, types of pension schemes and calculations, contributions, eligibility for gratuity and its calculations.

S. Sethupathy, senior consultant with 25 years of experience in the field of labour related laws would handle the sessions.

All legal compliance executives, personnel and human resource officers, HR assistants, law students and HR students can attend the programme. Interested can register their names before June 5 at the office of Salem Productivity Council or contact 94877-57295, 04437-17295 or 0427-2447295.
