Last Seaward Defence Boat T-58 decommissioned

The Indian Navy on Tuesday decommissioned the last warship of Seaward Defence Boat T-58 that had served for the last 25 years.

An official release stated that the event took place at the Chokani jetty of the Chennai port, and was presided over by Commodore Rajiv Girotra, VSM, Naval Officer-in-Charge (Tamil Nadu and Puducherry) as the representative of the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command.

The decommissioning ceremony was attended by senior officials and dignitaries from other defence services, civil administration and police.
