New Madhya Pradesh Chief Justice sworn in

Justice Ajay Manikrao Khanwilkar was sworn in as the 22nd Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh by Governor Ram Naresh Yadav at Raj Bhavan here on Sunday. Justice Khanwilkar was earlier the Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh and has also been a judge in the Bombay High Court.

He was preceded by Justice Sharad Arvind Bobde who was elevated to the Supreme Court in April.

Justice Khanwilkar will take office at the principal seat of the MP High Court in Jabalpur on November 26. The swearing-in was attended by Chief Minister Shivraj Chouhan and other dignitaries.
