It was a day of drama on Thursday for the Aam Aadmi Party in Maharashtra with State convener Anjali Damnia and secretary Preeti Sharma Menon resigning from their posts in the morning and withdrawing their resignations by the night. AAP member Mayank Gandhi said that they were fed up with the bickering within the party. “But we resolved the matter by deciding to have a dedicated structure for volunteers and members to air their grievances, so that they don’t bother Ms. Damania and Ms. Menon,” he said.

There was confusion about the resignations in the morning with news coming out that Ms. Damania had resigned not only from the post but also from the party.

However, the party later clarified that she had resigned from the post and not the party. Members spent the day trying to convince them to withdraw their resignation. .
