A four-foot long cobra was rescued by Wildlife SOS from near the domestic terminal of the Delhi Airport.
The venomous snake was discovered inside the police quarters within the airport premises. The snake will be freed into its natural habitat at the earliest.
An unsuspecting police officer at the Police Quarters of the Delhi Airport was getting ready for work on July 22, when he found a rather startled serpent coiled behind the shoes in the shoe-rack. The police officer immediately alerted Wildlife SOS via their rescue hotline.
The Wildlife SOS rapid response unit found the snake retreating back to the shoe-rack, from where it was safely picked.
