The CBI team probing into the mysterious disappearance of nurse Bhanwari Devi on Wednesday searched the residence of one of the accused in Jodhpur and recovered some CDs and documents related to the case.

The team has been searching for a particular CD, allegedly showing former Rajasthan minister Mahipal Maderna in compromising position with Bhawari Devi.

However, the officials have denied its recovery in the yesterday’s raid at Sohan Lal Bishnoi’s residence at Tilwasani village.

The team has been interrogating some relatives of Bishnoi since last night. It has also quizzed Bhanwari’s husband Amarchand, Rajesh Parihar - a producer of video albums, and several others in this connection.

Bishnoi, who is currently under judicial custody, had allegedly called Bhanwari on September 1, the day she went missing, under the pretext of making some payment to her.

CBI had yesterday announced a reward of Rs five lakh for information about whereabouts of Bhanwari.

Bhanwari was posted as auxiliary nurse midwife at a sub-centre in Jaliwada village, around 120 km from Jodhpur district.

Her husband Amarchand has alleged she was abducted at the behest of Maderna, who was sacked after his name cropped up in the case, and his associates.
