Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) volunteers on Saturday evening conducted a novel protest outside the State-owned Goa Medical College (GMC) hospital against former Goa Minister and MLA Mickky Pacheco, who was admitted to GMC hospital here on Friday evening after he complained of pain in the chest at Sada Sub-jail in Vasco, south Goa.

AAP Goa convenor Valmiki Naik said that they decided to congratulate Mr. Pacheco on spending a record 24 hours in jail before getting the “customary chest pain that afflicts all jailed politicians”.

Meanwhile, activist lawyer Aires Rodrigues on Saturday accused the Goa government of continuing to shield Pacheco.
