The Delhi-Noida Direct (DND) Flyway, managed by the Noida Toll Bridge Company, on Wednesday launched two dedicated radio frequency identification (RFID) lanes.

“Silver RFID tag users will not need to halt, but can zip through the toll plaza with ease,” the firm said.

In a move to promote RFID tags, the company has organised a week-long promotional activity where users will be offered RFID tags and recharges.

On the first day of the drive, young girls and boys from Noida displayed colourful and attractive banners highlighting catchy slogans like ‘Smart women make smart choices! Get RFID today!’, ‘Keep calm and fly through the DND flyway’, ‘Bina ruke jao, RFID lagao!’ to encourage users to switch to RFID technology.

The company will offer free RFID tags to the first 5,000 users. Besides this, users having a minimum tag of Rs.1,500 will be charged Rs.25 per passage instead of Rs.28. — PTI
