Enumerators collecting details from Lieutenant Governor Iqbal Singh at the Raj Nivas in Puducherry on Tuesday

The operation to make a list of houses and collect data for maintaining the National Population Register began here on Tuesday, with enumerators getting details from Lieutenant Governor Iqbal Singh at Raj Nivas. The enumerators also visited Chief Minister V. Vaithilingam's house and collected details.

The enumeration will be carried out to collect particulars such as the name of the head of the family, total number of members, nature of ownership of the house, number of rooms, number of married persons, source of drinking water, drainage connection, bathroom and kitchen facilities in the house.

The information provided by the public would be confidential.
