Normal life remained largely unaffected here today during the bandh called by left parties and supported by opposition in protest against the recent eviction drive launched by the State government in Ranchi and Dhanbad.

The road traffic plied as usual while shops and markets, business establishments, banks, educational institutions function normally in the steel city, official reports said.

A group of bandh supporters took to the street to enforce bandh at Sakchi area but could not enforce the shutdown call.

The district administration has made adequate security arrangements to maintain law and order.
