A man was beaten to death by a mob at Sirmaur in the Sarahan area of Himachal Pradesh for allegedly trying to smuggle a truck load of cattle to Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh.
The five occupants of the truck were beaten up by the mob and one of them, Noman (28), who hails from Uttar Pradesh, died of injuries in hospital.
Police arrested the other four smugglers who travelled in the truck.
