Chief of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency Leon Panetta met National Security Advisor M.K. Narayanan on Saturday. Sources said during their 30-minute meeting, the two discussed the strengthening cooperation between India and the U.S. in sharing intelligence on a real time basis.
They also exchanged views on issues relating to the presence of terror groups in Pakistan and Afghanistan and their impact on India, said sources.
Arriving from Pakistan, Mr. Panetta would meet the Research and Analysis Wing chief K.C. Verma and the Intelligence Bureau Director Rajeev Mathur. He is also slated to call on Union Home Minister P Chidambaram and Home Secretary G.K. Pillai.
