The water level in Mullaperiyar dam stood at 119.05 feet (permissible level is 142 feet) with an inflow of 508 cusecs and a discharge of 511 cusecs. The level in Vaigai dam was 47.61 feet (maximum level 71 feet) with nil inflow and a discharge of 69 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 2,908 mcft. Mullaperiyar dam recorded 5 mm and Thekkadi 2 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Tuesday.
