Trainer aircraft crashes in Yadadri near Hyderabad, pilot safe

Only a week ago, on November 21, a trainee pilot escaped with a minor injury, when a two-seater trainer aircraft he was flying crashed in the fields at Shankarpally village of Ranga Reddy district near Hyderabad.

A learner pilot saved his life by jumping out of his trainer aircraft after it developed a mid-air snag, in Yadadri district of Telangana on Wednesday.

According to the Yadadri police, the aircraft crashed in private venture plots along the Hyderabad-Warangal highway near Aler, about 60 km from Hyderabad, around 11.50 a.m.

Trainee pilot Yogesh Yadav belongs to the Hakimpet Air Force Station base.

Only a week ago, on November 21, a trainee pilot of the Rajiv Gandhi Aviation Academy escaped with a minor injury, when a two-seater trainer aircraft he was flying crashed in the fields at Shankarpally village of Ranga Reddy district near Hyderabad.

Yadav was rescued by residents of Bahupeta village outskirts, where the plane crashed. Officials soon arrived in a military helicopter.

The police said aviation officials have opened an inquiry.
