City surgeon to head SAARC society wing

Breast surgeon and director for KIMS-Ushalakshmi Centre for Breast Diseases, Dr. P. Raghu Ram was appointed Chairman for International Affairs of SAARC Surgical Care Society for 2018-2020.

The society represents interests of surgeons in eight South Asian countries, SAARC member nations.

Dr. Raghu Ram said Royal College of Surgeons of England has agreed to partner with the Society to start a programme where young and meritorious surgeons would be selected for paid, two-year advanced surgical training at centres of excellence in England.
