A six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 45-year-old man in Mahabubnagar district of Telangana, police said on Sunday.

The incident took place last night at Amangal village. The accused was identified as Rafeeq Hussain, a labourer.

He allegedly took the girl, who lives in the same area, to a deserted place when she was playing outside her house and raped her, sub-inspector Sai Kumar said.
