In a decision that will cause alarm in the grand alliance, the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has decided to contest the Bihar Assembly polls in the four Seemanchal districts with a large number of Muslims.
“Our party will contest the elections in the four districts in the interests of Seemanchal,” the party president, Assaduddin Owaisi, said in Hyderabad on Saturday. But he ruled out any alliance and refused to disclose the number of seats his party would contest.
