Anthony Davis scored a season-high 48 points and grabbed 17 rebounds as the New Orleans Pelicans overcame a 19-point third quarter deficit to win the game against New York Knicks 123-118 in overtime.

Barca break Anoeta Stadium curse

Thirty four minutes into the game, it looked like Barcelona’s hex against Real Sociedad at the Anoeta Stadium was continuing as they found themselves two goals down.

Luis Suarez, however, had other ideas as he inspired their 4-2 comeback win, scoring two goals and assisting another as Barca won at the Anoeta Stadium for the first time since 2007.

Bleak day for Americans at the Australian Open

The opening day of the Australian Open turned out to be unkind to Americans as a sizeable number of them were knocked-out in the first round of the tournament.

Chief among them were Venus Williams, who lost to Belinda Bencic, 2017 U.S. Open winner Sloane Stephens and Coco Vandeweghe. The men’s section too had American causalities as John Isner and Jack Sock exited the tournament.
