Surging Wolves topple Thunder 104-88

Jimmy Butler scored 26 points, Karl-Anthony Towns scored his league-leading 35th double-double this season with 18 points and 12 rebounds and the Minnesota Timberwolves continued their strong run of positive results with a 104-88 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Russell Westbrook top scored in the game with 38 points, but he didn’t receive enough support as the Thunder sunk to their fifth defeat in seven matches.

Cricket

White replaces Lynn for Australia

Cameron White, who has enjoyed tremendous success in domestic ODI games and the ongoing Big Bash League, was called in to replace the injured Chris Lynn in Australia’s ODI squad.

The five-game series against England begins on Sunday at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Bouchard registers first win of 2018

Canadian Eugenie Bouchard finally registered her first win of 2018 with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Australian teen Destanee Aiava at the Kooyong Classic.
