K.S. Jayanth (117) and G. Sumith (seven for nine) put Andhra in command against Goa in the South Zone under-14 inter-State cricket tournament here on Saturday.
Medium-pacer Sumith wrecked the Goan innings as the side folded up for a paltry 29 off 12 overs.
In reply, Andhra aided by Jayanth’s ton scored 278 for seven declared in the first innings and took a huge lead.
In the other match, Karnataka rode on Ayush Kumar Barik’s half-century (78) to reach a respectable 280 for eight against Kerala.
