M.S. Washington Sundar’s all-round performance (42 & three for 10) enabled St. Bede’s ‘A’ beat St. Michael’s Academy by 53 runs in the TNCA City schools Coca Cola under-16 cricket tournament for the C. Ramaswamy Trophy here.

The scores: St. Bede’s ‘A’ 97 for five in 15 overs (M.S. Washington Sundar 42) bt St. Michael’s Academy 44 in 11.3 overs (M.S. Washington Sundar three for 10, S. Porselvan four for five); Chettinad Vidyashram ‘A’ 146 for seven in 30 overs (K.R. Abishek 45, Vignesh U. Mahesh 30) bt DAV 84 in 28.4 overs (S. Sidharth three for 14).

Good knock by Keshav

R. Keshav (90) missed a century, but ensured Prahlad CC’s win over Adambakkam CA in the C.H. Robinson-WGCA under-12 Super League Trophy cricket tournament here.

Prahalad 170 for two in 25 overs (R. Keshav 90, Abhijith Venkatesh 45 n.o.) bt Adambakkam CA 86 for six in 25 overs (S. Nikhil Viswanath three for 19).

Tiruvallur in final

Tiruvallur advanced to the final of the TNCA under-19 inter-district cricket tournament after the third day of its semifinal against Sivagangai was washed out.

The scores (semifinal): Sivagangai 219 drew with Tiruvallur 277 for nine. Tiruvallur advanced by virtue of first-innings lead.
