: A large number of women activists of the Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System on Tuesday tried to storm the office-cum-residence of Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh demanding the passing of the Bill on the Inner Line Permit system. These women are members of the women’s wings of the JCILPS.

Despite the announcement by the Chief Minister on the extension of the budget session till March 16, these women took out a procession from Keishampat towards the office of the Chief Minister.

The police arrested 30 prominent women on the charge of violating the silent zone restrictions and prohibitory orders under section 144 CrPC.
