Ten people were killed and at least 30 others injured when a tourist bus fell off a bridge on the Pune- Satara road in Maharashtra on Monday night. Amongst the dead are seven women and three men.

The incident occurred at around 11 pm near Khambatki ghat when the bus, which was heading to Gujarat, overturned. In a similar accident at the same spot, nine people were killed when the container of a truck fell on a tempo traveller at the same spot last month.

Inspector SM Jadhav of the Khandala police station said that the injured have been shifted to nearby government hospitals in Satara and Khandala.
