PM begins two-day visit to Gujarat

Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Gujarat on Sunday on a two-day visit to attend a series of events in the State’s Surat and Saurashtra region.

On the first day of his visit, Mr. Modi will hold an 11-km-long road show from the Surat airport to the Circuit House, where he will meet BJP leaders and workers.

On Monday, he will inaugurate a hospital set up by a public trust of the Patidar community in Surat, and a diamond polishing unit of Hare Krishna Exports Pvt. Ltd., owned by a diamond baron of the community.

After the two events in Surat, the PM will visit Tapi district to inaugurate cattle feed and ice cream plants set up by the Surat District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union, a district unit associated with Amul. Mr. Modi will briefly address gatherings at both the locations.
