Parrikar responding well to treatment, says Suresh Prabhu

Mr. Parrikar was admitted in a New York-based hospital earlier this month with pancreatitis-related serious ailment.

Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar is responding well to treatment in the U.S. hospital, Union Minister for Civil Aviation Suresh Prabhu tweeted on Saturday.

“Spoke to @manoharparrikar who is responding well to treatment in the U.S. hospital. Wished him speedy recovery, early return home to lead Goa,” Mr. Prabhu said in his tweet.

Mr. Parrikar was admitted in a New York-based hospital earlier this month with pancreatitis-related serious ailment, as officially stated by Goa Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).

After being admitted to the Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai twice since February 15, Mr. Parrikar was flown to the U.S. on March 7 for further treatment.
