Maoists today threatened to launch an indefinite bandh in Jharkhand and Orissa from February 14 if one of its members and two others of an Assam-based outfit, arrested by joint forces on Orissa-Jharkhand border, were not produced in court by tomorrow.

“Police picked by Tinkraj Oraon, Ajit Bora and Bhaijan from Jeherkela on Jharkhand-Orissa border yesterday. However, they are not yet produced in court.

While Bhaijan is our cadre, Oraon and Bora are members of an Assam-based who had come to meet us. They were arrested without any proper charges,” Maoist leader Samarji told PTI over phone from an undisclosed location.

We may later extend the bandh to West Bengal, Assam and Bihar, he said.
