A former BSP legislator and five others have been booked for culpable homicide after a district government counsel (DGC) was killed in a road mishap, the police said on Wednesday.

An FIR was registered on Tuesday against former MLA Yogendra Sagar and five others after DGC Sadhna Sharma was killed two days ago when the two-wheeler she was riding on was hit by a car, they said.

Others booked in the case are Devendra Nath Sharma, Kamal, Sudhanshu, Bhure and Shravan Gupta, Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar Yadav said.

In the FIR lodged by her sister Viparna Gaur, it has been alleged that Ms Sharma’s death was “pre-planned” as she was pursuing cases against the former MLA.

The police are probing the matter. -- PTI
