EC serves notice on Meghalaya CM’s wife

The Election Commission has issued a notice to Meghalaya Chief Minister Mukul Sangma’s wife Dikkanchi D. Shira, who is contesting the Lok Sabha bypoll in Tura scheduled for Monday, for allegedly campaigning beyond the stipulated time on Saturday.

The Congress said it had already submitted a reply to returning officer Pravin Bakshi.
