A four-member disaster management team on Tuesday had a narrow escape when their Pawan Hans helicopter crash-landed at Meluri Helipad in Phek district of Nagaland.

An official in the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority said that the team, led by Joint Secretary of Union Ministry of Home Affairs (Disaster Management Wing), had taken off from Kohima Helipad at around 7 am.

However, on reaching Meluri, 163 km from Kohima, the chopper crash-landed due to some technical problem, the official said.

All the four passengers and the pilot sustained minor injuries, the official said.
