A panel of doctors of the State-owned Goa Medical College hospital constituted on Wednesday morning has begun conducting the post-mortem of the body of Mumbai-based costume designer Isha Mantry, who died after attending an Electronic Dance Music (EDM) festival in Goa on Monday night.

The police have registered a case of an unnatural death. The report of autopsy is expected by Thursday, a senior police official said here on Wednesday.

A panel of doctors is formed in such a case to avert any doubts or controversies over the autopsy report of a sensitive case like the present one, said the police official.

The girl’s parents have reached Goa before the autopsy.

Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) have alleged that the girl died of drug overdose at the EDM.
