Sasi Kumar goes down to Baghdatis

Sasi Kumar Mukund gave a good account of himself against former World No. 8 Marcos Baghdatis of Cyprus before being beaten 6-4, 7-5 in the second round of the $81,240 Challenger tennis tournament on Wednesday.

In the $162,480 Challenger in Phoenix, Arizona, qualifier Pedja Krstin of Serbia beat Ramkumar Ramanathan 6-2, 6-4 in the first round.

In the $60,000 ITF women’s event in Shenzhen, Ankita Raina won her first round matches in both singles and doubles.
