Paes & Daniell enter final

Leander Paes and Marcus Daniell of New Zealand defeated fourth seeds Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and Purav Raja 6-3, 7-6(4) in the doubles semifinals of the €137,560 Challenger tennis tournament here.

In the final, the second-seeded Paes and Daniell were scheduled to play top seeds Santiago Gonzalez of Mexico and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi of Pakistan.

In the ITF men’s Futures in Harare, S.D. Prajwal lost in the singles semifinals to top seed Takanyi Garanganga, but won the doubles title in partenrship with compatriot Rishi Reddy.

It was the maiden professional title for both the players.

Semifinals: Prajwal & Rishi bt Benjamin Lock & Courtney John Lock (Zim) 7-5, 7-6(4); Beran & Paris bt Anvit Bendre & Aryan Goveas 6-3, 6-7(5), [11-9].
