Nicholas Mahut and John Isner will meet at the Hopman Cup next month in what will be the pair’s first rematch since they shared the longest match in professional tennis history at Wimbledon this year.

Mahut was named on Monday to replace Gael Monfils in the French team for the mixed tournament. He will partner Kristina Mladenovic after Monfils’ withdrew with a knee injury.

Isner has already been named to represent the United States and the pair are due to clash in the January 3 singles, their first meeting since the 183-game, 11-hour epic at Wimbledon in June.
